Duplicate File Finder

Over the weekend I was archiving the photos and videos that I have in my laptop because it is eating up my disk space and I am running low on precious storage space for other files and programs that I need. So I am burning the old movies and pictures to a DVD for storage. I am well more than half way through burning the files when I found out that there are several duplicates that I burned into different DVDs.

Though the duplicate files are not that many, I am still not finished with the archiving. So it crossed my mind that having a duplicate file finder software is a good idea for this type of job. I'm sure there is a lot of software that was designed to find duplicate files in a computer or a server. This will really come handy if you are trying to check hundreds or thousands of files. Finding duplicate files is not an easy job if you will do it manually. Good thing for me I am only searching for pictures and videos in my computer. But what if someone needs to sort or check a server storage. Then a duplicate file finder will really be useful.

Anyways I am more than half way through archiving and I can finish it this weekend without the help of a duplicate file finder software of some sort. I can manage doing it manually.
